Nicki Minaj & Randy Jackson Leaving American Idol

Rolling Stone
"Nicki Minaj will follow Randy Jackson and leave American Idol after this season. Us Weekly reports that the rapper will focus on touring, business deals and her next album, and that she had only ever planned to judge a single season of the competition program.
Minaj joined the FOX reality show this season with fellow new judges Keith Urban and Mariah Carey. She has shared a strained relationship with Carey throughout her brief stint, and recently lashed out at the singer on Twitter.
Jackson, who has been with Idol since its debut in 2001, said last week that he's leaving the show after this season. Urban and Carey's fates haven't been announced, though reports indicate they'll depart, too."

Prince to perform on Jimmy fallon 31/13

I am excited to hear that Prince has been named to perform live on Jimmy Fallon's Late Night talk show on Friday which is 31/13... Prince always loves to play with numbers and dates, so it is very fitting! Rumor has it that he will perform 2 songs but another rumor is also that Mariah Carey seems to be a guest on the same episode so unfortunately, Prince is not the only guest that night. Oh well! I am looking forward to this. It is rare to see Prince on tv so when it happens I get nuts! I am definitely taping this one! I wonder what he will sing and what he will wear!

OPI - Liquid Sand

The new line from OPI just came out and it is a Mariah Carey line featuring a new type of polish called "Liquid Sand." My friend Sarah (WildEdgyNails) lent me one of her colors from the line called "Can't Let Go" and I tested it out.

It is a purple polish with lots of sparkles inside and a sandy, grainy texture. The idea is that you don't put any top coat over it in order to conserve its matte, textured look.
It wasn't too hard to apply. You just put your base coat and then apply 2 coats of the nail polish. I kept in mind that my friend Sarah expressed disappointment with the brush, but I did not find it bothered me so much. It seemed to feel a bit wider than the regular OPI polish brushes but it might just be the thickness of the nail polish making me think so.
Overall, I was not blown away by this nail polish at all. It is dull looking and not really the most appealing color. The texture on your nails is not pleasant. It feels like sandpaper and it is not a natural feeling to be wearing around all day.
I am not interested in buying any of these for myself. I am glad that I was able to try it without buying it!
