PSY releases follow up to Gangnam Style

PSY, the Korean artist who brought us "Gangnam Style" has come out with his next song called "Gentleman."

Does it compare? Will it become the next big sensation like Gangnam Style? I think it sounds good with a nice beat and it's pretty catchy.

Lady GaGa at the President's Inaugural Ball!

Lady GaGa looked gorgeous on Monday at President Obama's inaugural ball. She was one of the performers including Beyonce and Kelly Clarkson. GaGa performed along with Tony Bennett. Looovee this style, feels like she is going back to her Fame roots for once. I hope she does more Fame inspired looks. It has always been my favorite era of hers. I love the platinum hair with bangs (Duh!) and cheery outfits... this one kind of reminds me of her old crystal dress. Artists evolving is a great thing, don't get me wrong, it is important for artists to always be changing and staying fresh, but I feel that is is also important for an artist to go back to their roots and revisit the time when they first became famous and realize what it was that got people hooked in the first place. She is always in such dark and eerie clothing that it is nice to see her in something light and cheerful looking! I got into her because she was just so cute looking and I like seeing that kind of look revisited every once in a while!

Purple Rain Halloween Costume!

+If you know me by now, you know that I love dressing up in different costumes around Halloween time. It has always been my favorite 'Holiday'. I love dressing up as celebrities in particular. The last couple of years I have gone out as Lady GaGa 2 times, and Michael Jackson last year. Well this year I will continue with my trend and perhaps live out a little wish of dressing like Prince. I am always influenced by his style and look. He is a very fashionable man and I, of course, adore and respect him. It is hard to integrate his looks into my wardrobe really firstly because he is a man, and second of all a lot of the looks I love so much are from the 80's and are not really acceptable to wear now. I will always be a fan of the shoulder pads, studs, big hair, rhinestones, etc... even though I can't always pull it off.

Halloween is giving me an opportunity to rock a Prince look and I have been planning really since last year when I went as Michael Jackson. The last couple of months I really got my plan into gear. I went to the thrift shop and found a purple blazer and a black curly wig. I bought pyramid studs, white buttons, and a frilly blouse online. Recently I put the studs into the jacket and sewed the buttons on a pair of pants.... and then, easily enough, my costume was complete!

I tried the complete look on today for the first time and I am quite happy with the results. Of course I don't look anything like Prince and I look like Prince if he had grown some boobs and gained a lot of weight but anyways... here is my attempt at Prince's Purple Rain outfit that is an iconic piece of history... can't wait until Halloween so I can wear this out!!!

ABA Hair Show

Sunday March 13th I attended the ABA (Allied Beauty Association) Hair show with my boss. It was my first time going to a hair show. It is a special exhibition for hairdressers only where they show the latest new styles and techniques on hair and hairdressing. It was pretty cool and overall I liked it.

At one point they played Lady Gaga's "Government Hooker" unreleased song and I was freaking out and then a while later I heard a remix of Born This Way. Gaga's music really suits these type of shows and events for fashion and so on. Her music must be the latest trend at these types of conventions.
