Prince an unlikely witness at Michael Jackson trial

Article.
"Prince is reportedly a potential witness in the high-profile Michael Jackson wrongful death suit against AEG Live — but those familiar with the Purple One say he’s unlikely to take the stand. “Prince is so far down on the witness list, he will more than likely never get called,” explains impressively named music blogger Dr. Funkenberry, who very well may have earned his Ph.D. in Prince-ology. He adds there’s historically been bad blood between Prince and AEG because, “In 2007, Prince performed 21 nights [at O2 arena in London], a record. AEG promised him no one would perform more nights than him. In 2009 AEG booked Michael Jackson there for 50 nights before [his] death. So AEG went back on their word which upset Prince, obviously.” But, he adds there is no lingering bad blood or ongoing politics: “Prince is embarking on his tour . . . in mid-April and some of the dates are with AEG.” A rep for Prince didn’t get back to us."
